Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed in the rock world. The group was not able to gain a lot of attention in The United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford's solo metal career proved successful following the split of the band. Her debut solo album was 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her record Out for Blood. Ford disappeared for a few years from the music scene as the two albums failed to get any attention. The smash hit 'Lita' came out in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly was a big hit, as were the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. But her fame was only short-lived and she vanished from the music industry for a few years. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released most recently "Time Capsule" was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
